Job Description

Our client is specialized in innovative building materials for the construction industry. They are looking for this individual to assist on their current upcoming projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop complete Project Master Schedule from zero base, systematically with Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) until detailed activities with duration and activities relationships
• Update schedule based on new input
• Interpret new data and forecast outcomes of schedule and estimate
• Responsible for preparing construction log, weekly and monthly report
• Develop Project reporting system and communicate to all stakeholders in approved frequency at regular fashion
• Tracking progress of work with respect to base line schedule
• Clearly define targets / milestones and areas of concern & strategies catch up plans
• Expedite supply of materials, manpower and other related items to meet project timelines
• Perform critical path evaluation whenever required
• Participate in the regular project meeting; highlight areas of concern whenever necessary
• Any other duties and responsiblities as assigned by the superior from time to time
• 1 year contract, based in Johor, Malaysia

Requirements:

• Primavera Project Planning - Intermediate level
• Contract Management - familiar with contractual terms and conditions
• Certified training will be advantageous
• Able to prepare and format report document in MS Word, MS Excel and Presentation in Power Point
• Degree in Civil Engineering
• At least 2 years working experience
• At least 1 year project experience in on-site project planning and scheduling
• Exposure to oil & gas and/or concrete related industry will be an advantage

Turner & Townsend is recruiting for a Planning Engineer to join the oil & gas division in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This position will provide support in the areas of project planning/scheduling, performance measurement, reporting, cost management and risk management.

• Min 10 (ten) years planning engineer experience within the oil & gas industry in major facilities projects, multiple projects spanning at minimum through FEED (Front End Engineering Design) and EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) or EPCC (Engineering Procurement Construction Commissioning) projects scope. Experience in overall range Project Appraisal, Concept Selection & Definition, Definition, Execution and handover to Operations will be an advantage.
• Mastery and work extensively with Primavera Project Management software.
• Familiar with risk assessment process in particular schedule risk assessment.
• Familiar with process in tendering and reporting.
• Experience of working as a team in a project environment with significant capabilities in the areas of planning and scheduling. Ability to interface effectively with people of all levels, both internal and third parties, with wide ranging cultural backgrounds.
• Proven track record of responsibility for delivery of complex problems in a team context.
• Willing and able to be mobile in support of the project
